Horseback Riding

This country is made for horseback riding, with endless miles of wildflower meadows, high-country lakes, and grassy ridge lines to explore around our guest ranch. With over 50 head of horses and an exceptionally experienced crew of wranglers, we are sure to have a horse and destination to match your riding ability and interests. Under the skillful guidance of one of our Head Wranglers, our riding program provides the opportunity for growth in each guest’s horsemanship skills.

There are no set riding times or destinations at The Ranch at Rock Creek. Whether you want to ride for one hour or all-day (not recommended on your first day!), through gentle meadows, or to a ridge-top view, our riding staff will do their utmost to accommodate your preferences.

In addition to scenic rides, our wranglers can provide professional instruction for those who wish to improve their skills. Herding cattle activities are also available by request. Pony rides are available for our youngest riders.
    
All riding at The Ranch is Western-style, designed for comfort during long hours on the trail. You're going to want to wear cowboy boots, and if you don't have your own, you can pick from an array of sizes and styles  available for your use at The Rod & Gun Club.
