A Simple Mission
Ömer Acar, General Manager of Le Royal Monceau Raffles Paris provides readers with many meaningful insights in his From Paris with Love Q & A in the May/June issue of Virtuoso Life. However, there is one answer that jumps off the page for us here at The Ranch.
When asked to name the hallmark of a memorable hotel, Monsieur Acar says it’s the “ability to give you the keys to the location’s heart and soul.”
Simply put, this is our mission. As a Relais & Châteaux member and a Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star Hotel, the magnificent constellation of hospitality, generosity and the art of living is what we aspire to give our guests when they visit The Ranch at Rock Creek. It is our great joy and purpose to share Montana’s beautiful heart and soul with our guests every day of the year.
Summer’s Heart and Soul
As we begin the shift to summer, we greet returning families, as well as many world travelers experiencing Montana for the first time. There is always excitement in the air when Ranch summer memories are about to be made. Daily life at The Ranch means Montana adventures like hiking and horseback riding with friends, learning to fly fish, or cheering on favorite wranglers in our rodeo.
Executive Chef Josh Drage’s remarkable Ranch cuisine often introduces guests to regional specialties, including elk, bison and morel mushrooms. Friends – old and new – share a local microbrew while swapping stories about big fish and the wildflowers they wish to grow in their own backyard.
We hold forth on the history of the 1800s silver boom and our dramatic topography, and a sense of wonder abounds. What was it like when those early pioneers first traveled to this valley? How did they manage to navigate the boulders, cliffs and canyons with those wooden wagons?
And, when our guests recall their Ranch nights by the bonfire, gazing up at the millions of stars in the evening sky, it is our hope they forever carry the warmth of Montana’s heart and soul with them.
