Ranchers Behind the Lens

Winter Staff Photography

Our staff are some of winter’s most ardent fans. With few exceptions, they are dedicated hikers, skiers and outdoor adventure travelers, who’ve traded the hustle of larger towns and properties for the natural splendor of rural Montana. Before the first snow falls, most of the staff have purchased their season pass to Discovery Ski Area and have their skis and snowboards waxed and ready. Philipsburg is far from a bustling city, but it is continuously named one of the best secret ski towns and a “hidden gem,” alluding to the fact that sapphire mining is a popular pastime.

Our Human Resources department has this unique breed (hospitality professional meets nature lover) in mind as they hire seasonal and year-round staff for 2016. As the world’s only Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star ranch, employees at The Ranch at Rock Creek gain experience they can’t find anywhere else—meeting the high standards of the Forbes Travel Guide and Relais & Châteaux property, while mastering hobbies like horseback riding and fly fishing. If you know of someone looking for a rewarding opportunity and a top-notch resume builder, please forward our Career page and encourage them to apply quickly.

The Ranch at Rock Creek is hiring seasonal and year-round staff

In Montana’s winter months, our staff members find themselves surrounded by a natural world that very few humans have the opportunity to experience.  No matter whether you are a snow sports enthusiast, rancher, or first-time visitor to the Western Montana, it’s always a good idea to outfit yourself with some kind of camera. Our employees are ready to document the ever-changing beauty at a moment’s notice.  They capture wildlife in action, stunning sunrises on their way to work and life between the ears on horseback. We are grateful that they share their photos with us, and we hope you’ll enjoy these nature shots that provide a glimpse into why our  National Geographic Unique Lodge of the World affiliation is a perfect fit. If their photos inspire you to take advantage of winter, our season runs through the month of March, and we’ll be hosting a special celebration during the President’s/Valentine’s Weekend.

If you’re a fan of @theranchatrockcreek on Instagram, you can look forward to staff Instagram takeovers in 2016. These one-day snapshots will take you through a day in the life of a wrangler, a yogi, a guide or a rodeo competitor. In the meantime, enjoy the beauty of a Montana winter from the people who delight in it day after day.
