Fly Fishing
Anglers can be secretive about their fishing holes. With four miles of private access to Rock Creek, guests can learn on some of the best fishing locations in the world. When they learn the patterns of trout, whitefish and dry or wet flies, a whole new landscape of ecology opens up to them. With your feet in the water you understand the power of this mountain-fed creek to determine the lives of so many animals.

Ropes Course
When you think of a ranch vacation, the ropes course isn't the first thing that comes to mind, but I think it's the best way to test your limits in a safe environment. You're surrounded by people who are literally there to catch your fall. I love seeing the wonder on people's faces. The thrill-seekers embrace it with open arms, but it's the people who've never had an opportunity to do a zip line, a rope bridge or a climbing wall that show what a transformative experience this can be

Archery
As someone who fell in love with archery, it's rewarding to see how many of our guests leave saying it was their favorite activity. Our courses are true adventures where you find yourself peeking through trees or standing on boulders aiming at 3-D targets. At minimum they've had an unforgettable adventure, but more often than not, they leave wondering where they can find a compound bow to practice at home.

About Our Activities
Rod & Gun Club
Within hours of arriving at The Ranch, you’ll make your way to our basecamp, the Rod & Gun Club. Our Activities Concierge arranges 45 different activities throughout the year. Our extensive variety of daily on-property activities is available from 9 am to 5 pm. With 10 square miles to discover, we encourage all guests to do two activities per day, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. Your Ranch Ambassador will help you pre-book your preferred activities through the Rod & Gun Club.
No Cancellation Fees
Accommodating our guests’ preferences and desires is our top priority, which is why we endeavor to pre-book all activities to reserve them during your stay. Although we do not charge cancellation fees, we are not able to reschedule activities at short notice due to sanitization requirements on gear and equipment. Our Rod & Gun staff strongly encourages pre-booking twice-daily activities and discussing changes with a Ranch Ambassador.
Safety
Safety is discussed prior to every activity by our seasoned guides. Safety equipment is provided and required in order to ensure guest safety on our all-inclusive activities. Additional safety equipment can be provided upon request.
Guided vs. Independent Activities
Activities concierges and guides provide support for all activities, but we encourage guests to do one guided activity and one unguided activity each day. We’ve expanded inclusive adventures that allow our guests to retune to nature and look deeper into the ecosystem and homestead history of The Ranch. Please see our Respite on Rock Creek, cross-country mountain biking, sapphire mining, disc golf and hiking activities and channel the pioneer spirit that encouraged our homesteaders to ascend the next peak.
