Anticipating Our Annual Farm-To-Table Festival
We don’t want to wish a beautiful Montana summer away, but we are already planning for one of our favorite celebrations of the year—the farm-to-table festival we call Autumn Harvest Weekend. When the hay is baled and stacked, the pumpkins are picked and kids are back in school, we’ll take a weekend to appreciate Western Montana’s rapid and abundant growing season. Here are three reasons why we can’t
wait for October to arrive.
1. A Special Musical Performance by LeAnn Rimes
Each fall, we plan a three-day event for our guests, culminating in a Harvest Feast and private concert. We are overjoyed to welcome back Grammy Award-winning artist LeAnn Rimes for the second year in a row. Last year, we enjoyed an unforgettable, intimate acoustic performance on the Buckle Barn stage. We can’t wait to see what she has in store for this year’s event.
LeAnn Rimes’ career has spanned two decades, resulting in more than 44 million albums sold, two Grammy Awards, 12 Billboard Music Awards, two World Music Awards, three Academy of Country Music Awards, one Country Music Association Award and one Dove Award. At the age of 14, LeAnn was the youngest person to win a Grammy Award and was the first country artist to win the Grammy Award in the “Best New Artist” category for her hit “Blue,” which celebrates the 20th anniversary of its release this year.
2. Three Farm-to-Table Feasts
In addition to Rimes’ special performance, the weekend will include three days and nights of gourmet dining experiences, live music and celebration. In between our twice-daily guided outdoor activities such as horseback riding, fly fishing and sporting clays, guests will savor The Ranch’s exclusive gastronomic delights. This year’s culinary itinerary includes a Montana Beer Dinner, a Chef’s Harvest Tasting Menu and a Harvest Feast. These meals will be rounded out by extra bites for late-night campfire singers and barn dance revelers.
The Montana Beer Dinner will be an expertly-crafted pairing menu featuring Montana’s award-winning microbrews. As we detailed in our last blog, 90% of the beer we serve is from eight Montana microbreweries. When we combine these beers with our local purveyors’ finest meats and produce, the result is an idyllic farm-to-table experience for the craft beer lover or traveler who seeks new knowledge about a regional craft.
Our hometown Philipsburg Brewing Company recently won the prestigious Silver Medal in the American-Style Wheat Beer with Yeast category at the World Beer Cup for their Haybag Hefeweizen. We will welcome back their brewers for the Thursday social hour and dinner.

On Friday, Executive Chef Drage and his team serve up a Fall Harvest Tasting Menu. Tasting menus are a signature dining experience at The Ranch. During Autumn Harvest, guests will be served course after course of Montana delights, paired with regional wines. After the meal, the fun continues with festivities in the Silver Dollar Saloon, including live music, games and signature cocktails.
3. Festivities: Live Music, Dancing & a Campfire Session
Just outside the Saloon, the campfire will be crackling under the big sky. Guests and staff will gather to sing along in the round and toast to storytellers, singers and songwriters who wrote about the simpler times we cherish here in the American West. (Bring your guitar and brush up on those lyrics!) We are thrilled to add this Campfire Session to this year’s schedule because music is an integral part of our guest experience from our weekly summer barn dances to our seasonal celebrations throughout the year.
On Saturday evening, guests will enjoy wagon rides, games on the Buckle Barn manicured lawns and a social hour before enjoying the Fall Harvest Dinner and a special performance by LeAnn Rimes. Later, guests will dance into the night during a Buckle Barn dance, featuring line dancing and music by local musicians.
The Ranch has several travel specials this fall in addition to Autumn Harvest Weekend. Join us for exceptional fly fishing, a romantic getaway, a nature retreat or an unforgettable Thanksgiving. Montana’s transitional temperatures and abundant flora make fall the ideal time to witness wildlife migrations, catch a trophy-sized trout and test your limits with a robust list of activities. All of these special weekends are in addition to our all-inclusive activities, accommodations and amenities.
