Smart Phone Scavenger Hunt | Scavenge across the range on a photography adventure that spans your stay. Download the instructions and keep an eye out for the clues during your activities and down time.

Sapphire Mining | Channel your inner prospector while you search through gravel from Rock Creek’s nearby sapphire mountain. Detailed and focused guests will be rewarded.
Frontier Skills | Leave The Ranch with more confidence in your own abilities and the skills to go further on your adventures. Learn to build a shelter, find water, set a snare and start a fire.
Master Naturalist Class | Learn to spot flora and fauna, understand the eco-system and journal like Merriweather Lewis and William Clark did on their expedition across the Louisiana Territory.
Silver Dollar Saloon | Reserve the Saloon as your private clubhouse for a morning or afternoon. Challenge colleagues to darts, billiards, bowling, shuffleboard, checkers, chess or watch a movie in the private movie theater.

Yes, but depending on the size of your family and their preferred dining times, some meals  may take place at separate tables, but next to one another. Other meals we will be able to accommodate all family members at one table.

All accommodations will receive an amenity catalog which they can use to order complimentary beverages, snacks and peridocals.

Depending on the size of the family and special requests, there could be a site fee for the location of the private meal. Please speak with your group coordinator to find out the exact cost.

We highly suggest packing layers. Mornings and evenings in Montana are chilly, afternoons have warmer temperatures.

All equipment needed for activities is provided through Rod & Gun Club. However, we do suggest that you pack your own hiking boots, hats, sunglasses, gloves and other commonly used items to reduce the risk of cross-contamination. Riding boots with a one inch heel are recommended.

Airport transfers are from Missoula, Butte or Anaconda airports are included. Guests can choose to drive themselves with a pre-arranged rental or be driven via Ranch vehicle. If guests chose Ranch vehicle transportation, all guests and the driver will be required to wear masks for the duration. Water and an assortment of snacks are available for the drive. Each individual, couple or family group will receive their own vehicle so that social distancing with non-family members will be maintained.

Common areas are disinfected throughout the day and between use by guests. Instead of social hours in the Granite Lodge, we are hosting happy hour on the Aspen Deck so that people can split up into smaller groups. Guests can also choose to enjoy happy hour on their porch in their accommodation.

The Rod & Gun Club encourages guests to bring their own hiking boots, hats, gloves and other soft items to reduce the need to sanitize fabric items. Equipment fittings will be done at the activity location to reduce the number of people in the Rod & Gun Club. Staggered start times will also reduce crowding.

Housekeeping will service accommodations once each morning. Guests can request an additional turndown service or reduced servicing during their stay. Hand sanitizer and disinfecting products will be offered for guest use.

Yes, The Ranch has added more activities to ensure there are a plethora of safe and fulfilling outdoor activities for your group. View the list above to learn more about what’s available for groups.

Guides and staff will wear masks and gloves during the moments when social distancing isn’t possible. We will ask guests to do the same in those rare instances. Out on the trail or activity, once six feet of distance can be maintained, face masks will not be required. If a guest does need assistance that requires guides to go within six feet it is mandatory that wranglers and guests put on their masks.

In order to execute this, we ask that all guests walk or bike to their activities (to avoid vehicle usage). We also stagger our activity start times to avoid crowds in the Rod & Gun Club. We ask that you be on time for your activity. If you are more than 15 minutes late, you may not be able to take part in your activity.
